The Foo Fighters are hitting the road again — and this time, they’re going big. Dave Grohl and his bandmates just unveiled plans for a massive 2026 North American Stadium Tour, their first full-scale run since 2024’s Everything or Nothing at All tour. To top it off, they’ve dropped a brand-new single, “Asking for a Friend,” giving fans a fresh glimpse into the band’s latest era.
Back to the Big Stages
The Foos will kick things off on August 4 in Toronto, before crisscrossing the U.S. and Canada through late summer. The tour wraps up September 26 in Las Vegas, but not before a huge stop in Detroit on August 6 — their first Motor City show since 2018 and their biggest Michigan concert ever at Ford Field.
Fans are in for a treat with Queens of the Stone Age, Mannequin Pussy, and Gouge Away joining as special guests on select dates, promising one of 2026’s strongest rock lineups.
Tickets officially go on sale October 31 at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster, with presales beginning October 28 and 29 for those eager to lock in their spots early.
A Fresh Sound with “Asking for a Friend”
Alongside the tour announcement comes “Asking for a Friend,” the band’s latest single and second release of 2025 following “Today’s Song” earlier this year. The track channels everything fans expect from Foo Fighters — soaring guitars, heartfelt lyrics, and that trademark Grohl grit — but with a touch of reflection that feels new and genuine.
In recent months, the band has been testing new material during unannounced club shows, later compiled into their surprise EP Are Playing Where??? Vol. I. The performances have given fans a sneak peek into what might be coming next from the ever-evolving group.
A New Chapter with a Familiar Fire
Behind the kit for this new run is Ilan Rubin, known for his work with Nine Inch Nails and Angels & Airwaves. He steps in following the departure of Josh Freese, bringing a burst of fresh energy that long-time fans have already noticed at recent shows.
This will be Foo Fighters’ first major tour since the loss of drummer Taylor Hawkins, and for many, it represents not just another chapter but a heartfelt continuation of the band’s story — one built on resilience, love, and a shared passion for rock ’n’ roll.
Rock’s Not Dead — It’s Louder Than Ever
Detroit’s music calendar is stacked for August 2026, with Ed Sheeran taking over Ford Field later in the month and My Chemical Romance playing nearby at Comerica Park. But when it comes to all-out, sweat-drenched stadium anthems, few can deliver like Dave Grohl and company.
Armed with a new song, a revitalized lineup, and a fire that hasn’t dimmed in three decades, the Foo Fighters are ready to remind everyone why they remain one of the
