Corey Feldman Raises New Allegations in Documentary Examining His Hollywood Past

A newly released documentary, Corey Feldman vs. The World, has stirred fresh debate around former child star Corey Feldman and the experiences he says shaped his early years in Hollywood. Directed by Marcie Hume, the film features Feldman making a serious allegation that his close friend and frequent co-star Corey Haim sexually abused him during the production of the 1987 cult hit The Lost Boys.

Feldman and Haim rose to fame together in the late 1980s, quickly becoming two of the most recognizable young actors of their generation. Following The Lost Boys, the pair worked on several popular films and were widely seen as best friends navigating stardom side by side. Haim later struggled with addiction for years and died in 2010 at the age of 38.

In the documentary, Feldman recalls an incident in which he says Haim tried to initiate sexual contact. He describes feeling scared and confused, saying he did not fully understand what was happening at the time. Feldman also claims that Haim implied such behavior was considered normal within the entertainment industry. Actor Charlie Sheen, who is referenced in Feldman’s account, has strongly denied the allegations and has publicly stated that no such incidents ever occurred.

This is not the first time Feldman has spoken about abuse in Hollywood. Over the years, he has been vocal about being victimized as a child actor and has accused the industry of protecting powerful abusers. His 2020 film, My Truth: The Rape of Two Coreys, focused on alleged abuse both he and Haim experienced from older figures in the business. That documentary did not include claims that Haim had abused Feldman.

According to director Marcie Hume, the new project was never meant to function as a traditional exposé. Instead, she aimed to create an unfiltered look at Feldman’s life, including its contradictions. Hume began filming Feldman during his 2017 tour with his all-female music group, Corey’s Angels, originally envisioning the documentary as a redemption or comeback story.

As filming continued, however, the project took a darker turn. The documentary includes accounts from former members of Corey’s Angels, who describe a restrictive and highly sexualized environment. Some allege they were closely controlled, underpaid, or not paid at all. One former member goes so far as to describe the group as having cult-like dynamics. Hume admits that while she captured many moments on camera, she could not document everything that happened.

Feldman has largely distanced himself from promoting the film, which portrays him as both a survivor of abuse and a deeply polarizing figure. Hume says the documentary is not meant to resolve every question about Feldman, but rather to show the uncomfortable and complicated reality of his life.
