Former Nickelodeon Actor Tylor Chase Seen Homeless in Viral Clip

Fans who grew up watching Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide were stunned after a recent viral video revealed that former Nickelodeon actor Tylor Chase is currently living on the streets of Riverside, California. Chase, best known for playing the reserved yet thoughtful Martin Qwerly, was once a familiar face on kids’ TV during the mid-2000s.
The clip, which began circulating on TikTok in September, shows Chase sleeping outdoors and  struggling to servive. As it circulated across social media, many longtime viewers reacted with shock and sadness, remembering him from his time on Nickelodeon. Others used the moment to raise larger questions about what happens to child actors once early fame disappears and support systems fall away.
Chase starred alongside Devon Werkheiser and Daniel Curtis Lee on the popular series, which followed three friends as they navigated the ups and downs of middle school. For many fans, seeing one of those cast members in such a difficult position has been especially hard to process.
In response to the video, a GoFundMe campaign was launched to help cover basic needs such as food and clothing. The fundraiser was later shut down by Chase’s mother, who shared that her son has been dealing with bipolar disorder as well as ongoing financial struggles.
Daniel Curtis Lee, Chase’s former co-star, later visited him in Riverside and spoke openly about the situation. He stressed that Chase needs long-term support, stable housing, and proper care — not just temporary financial assistance — and asked fans to understand how complicated his circumstances are.
Despite the wave of attention and concern, some local reports suggest Chase was still living on the streets toward the end of 2025. The story has since reopened wider conversations about mental health, addiction, and the lasting pressures faced by young performers after leaving the spotlight.
Online reactions have been mixed. Some users questioned whether it was appropriate to film Chase during such a vulnerable moment, while others directed their frustration at an entertainment industry they feel often fails to protect child actors once their careers slow down.
For now, many fans continue to hope that the attention surrounding Chase’s situation will eventually lead to real help — and a more stable path forward for him.
