K-pop girl group NewJeans is facing uncertainty over a full-group comeback after agency Ador ended Danielle’s exclusive contract. The decision follows recent court rulings requiring all members to honor their contracts with the label until 2029.
Ador confirmed that Hanni has decided to return after discussions with the company, while Minji is still in talks. However, the agency stated it was no longer possible to continue working with Danielle as a NewJeans member, leading to her contract termination.
The label also mentioned plans for legal action against individuals it believes contributed to internal conflicts that delayed the group’s activities. Ador added that misunderstandings and trust issues remain and will take time to resolve publicly.
With Haerin and Hyein already back, three members are preparing to resume activities. Still, Danielle’s exit and Minji’s unresolved status make a five-member NewJeans reunion unlikely for now.
