According to reports, Teresa Palmer has officially joined the cast of Amazon Prime Video’s highly anticipated ‘God of War’ series. She is reportedly set to play Sif, the wife of Thor and a powerful Aesir goddess from Norse mythology. Interestingly, Ryan Hurst—who is set to play Kratos—previously voiced Thor in the ‘God of War: Ragnarök’ game.
Palmer is best known for her work in films such as ‘Hacksaw Ridge’, ‘The Fall Guy’, ‘I Am Number Four’, and ‘The Grudge 2’. On television, she has appeared in ‘A Discovery of Witches’, ‘The Clearing’, and ‘Mix Tape’. She will next be seen in the Australian series ‘The Family Next Door’.
The series will follow the emotional storyline of the latest ‘God of War’ games, centering on Kratos and his young son Atreus as they embark on a journey to scatter the ashes of Atreus’ mother, Faye. Along the way, Kratos struggles to teach his son how to be a god, while Atreus tries to teach his father to be more human.
First announced in 2022, the project has undergone several significant changes. Following Rafe Judkins’ departure in 2024, Ronald D. Moore is now serving as showrunner. The show is being produced by Amazon MGM Studios, Sony Pictures Television, and PlayStation Productions, with Cory Barlog and several others attached as executive producers.
Fans of the franchise can expect an epic, emotional, and action-packed adaptation of the beloved game series
