Dasha Nekrasova Dropped by Agency and Film After Controversial Nick Fuentes Podcast Sparks Backlash

Dasha Nekrasova — best known to many Succession fans as Comfrey Pellits, the savvy publicist who briefly became entangled in cousin Greg’s world — is facing swift professional fallout following a controversial podcast episode featuring far-right figure Nick Fuentes.

The 34-year-old actress, also recognized for her roles in Materialists, Mr. Robot, Dickinson, and The Serpent, has been dropped by her talent agency Gersh. A representative confirmed the decision to Deadline, noting that the agency acted quickly as criticism mounted online.

The repercussions didn’t stop there. Nekrasova had been set to join the cast of Iconoclast, an upcoming thriller directed by The Night Agent star Gabriel Basso. According to industry sources, producers withdrew her offer before finalizing the contract, citing concerns surrounding the same podcast appearance.

The controversy centers on a now-deleted October 10 episode of Red Scare, the cultural commentary podcast Nekrasova co-hosts with Anna Khachiyan. The episode featured a lengthy interview with Nick Fuentes, a figure widely associated with the far-right Groyper movement and described by CNN and others as a white nationalist and Holocaust denier.

The two-and-a-half-hour conversation circulated quietly for weeks before suddenly exploding across social media, catching the attention of Hollywood insiders and sparking immediate criticism. The episode reportedly included highly inflammatory remarks involving antisemitic tropes, racial stereotypes, and comments about immigrants and marginalized groups. Before being taken down, the YouTube upload had amassed more than 220,000 views.

Nekrasova has not yet issued a public statement addressing either the content of the interview or the professional consequences that followed.

Fuentes, who has cultivated a significant following among extremist online communities, is known for championing a fringe “America First” ideology and attacking even conservative organizations he deems too moderate. His appearance on Red Scare brought renewed scrutiny to the podcast, which has long been a lightning rod for controversy due to its provocative, often boundary-pushing commentary.

For now, the industry appears to be distancing itself from the actress, with both her agency and a major film project cutting ties within days of the clip going viral. Whether Nekrasova attempts to clarify or defend the interview — or issue an apology — remains to be seen.
