Former Disney Channel actor Matthew Prokop, best known for his roles in High School Musical 3: Senior Year and Geek Charming, has been arrested in Victoria County, Texas, for allegedly violating the terms of his bail.
According to authorities, Prokop was initially arrested in 2024 on various charges, including attempting to evade arrest and aggravated assault on a family member. Police said he was taken back into custody on December 24 after investigators confirmed he had violated the terms of his bail. Additional charges against him include evading arrest and resisting arrest.
Officials also confirmed that an arrest warrant was later issued against him, adding a felony charge related to the possession of child pornography.
Prokop has been booked into the Victoria County Sheriff’s Office jail. He previously made headlines for his relationship with actress Sarah Hyland, who accused him of abuse and obtained a restraining order against him in 2014.
