YouTuber Jack Doherty Arrested in Miami Beach on Drug-Related Charges, Records Show

Popular YouTuber and online personality Jack Doherty is once again in the spotlight — this time after being taken into custody in Miami Beach on Saturday, according to newly released Miami-Dade jail records.

The 22-year-old influencer, who has built a massive following with high-energy prank videos and luxury-filled lifestyle content, is now facing multiple misdemeanor charges, including:

Possession of a controlled substance

Possession of 20 grams or less of cannabis

Resisting an officer without violence

A short video circulating on social media, reportedly filmed by the account Only In Dade, shows officers placing Doherty in the back of a police cruiser during the arrest. Details about what led up to the encounter have not yet been released, and authorities have not provided an incident narrative.

A Familiar Name in South Florida Headlines

Doherty’s arrest adds to a growing list of Florida-related incidents involving the influencer over the past two years.

In June 2024, Davie Police were dispatched to his Southwest Ranches home after a swatting call falsely claimed that someone inside was in danger. Body-camera footage revealed that officers quickly determined the call was a hoax after spotting Doherty livestreaming safely on Kick.com.

Just a few months later, in October 2024, Doherty made headlines again when he crashed his $200,000 McLaren on the Florida Turnpike while livestreaming. The video appeared to show him glancing at his phone moments before the car hydroplaned into a guardrail. The incident led to his Kick channel being banned, though Doherty continued creating content on other platforms.

A Controversial Online Figure

With nearly 15 million subscribers, Jack Doherty has built a massive online empire centered around public stunts, pranks, and displays of wealth. His content frequently draws criticism — and just as often, viral engagement.

As of now, officials have not released additional information about Saturday’s arrest. NBC6 and other local outlets are seeking further details.
